How to make a daily check-in
Take a moment, without adding another obligation.
What is a check-in?
A check-in is a short entry about how you feel. You can describe your mood, energy and state of mind, adding a note if you wish. It is a snapshot of a moment; it does not have to sum up your whole day.
In the morning: your starting point
You might ask: “How do I feel?” and “How much energy do I have?”. For example: “Still sleepy, low energy and a busy mind.” There is no need to set a target or predict how the day will go.
In the evening: what to remember
Look back on the day with one question: “Which moment do I want to remember?”. It could be a conversation, an activity or a pause. An evening reflection may differ from how you feel right now: you can have enjoyed your day and still feel tired.
A rhythm you can change
Choose one moment or check in during the day. If a reminder helps, use it; if it feels like an obligation, you can turn it off. Missing a day does not mean you have to reconstruct the entries you did not make.
Check-ins in Body Mind Soul
In the app coming soon to iOS and Android, you can record mood, energy, state of mind and notes, with anytime, opening or closing check-ins. Daily reminders are optional and their times can be chosen in settings. You can revisit your entries in the journal.
